Overview — Karnataka tourism subsidy application

Step 1: Tourism Investment Facilitation Cell
Contact the facilitation cell for project classification, location-based incentive mapping, and registration requirements.
Step 2: Project registration
Register hotel/resort project under KTP 2024–29 with DPR, land documents, and category selection.
Step 3: Land conversion & stamp duty
Apply for land conversion fee reimbursement and stamp duty/registration exemptions before land transaction where required.
Step 4: Building sanction
Obtain local authority building permission for hotel/resort development.
Step 5: COD and subsidy claims
After commercial operations, claim capital subsidy, conversion fee reimbursement, and other benefits annually.

- DPR with location classification (inside/outside Bengaluru Urban)
- Department of Tourism project registration
- Stamp duty exemption application before land transaction
- Land conversion and building sanction with tourism use
- MoT certification where required
- Post-COD capital subsidy claim with audited FCI breakdown

After commercial operations — annual claims
- Capital subsidy: CA-certified FCI statement + eligible purchase invoices
- Stamp duty: reimbursement claim with registration documents (where applicable)
- SGST/GST reimbursement: returns and net tax paid certificates
- Electricity duty: bills showing exemption period
- Interest subvention: loan account statements (if applicable)
- Annual compliance certificates per state policy requirements
