Coastal and circuit priority zones
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Policy 2024–29 prioritises coastal tourism and themed circuits — including Visakhapatnam as a gateway hub, Araku Valley eco-tourism, and spiritual pilgrimage routes. Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) provide anchor-hub facilitation for circuit-integrated hotel projects.
Hotels and resorts in these zones access the full APTP package: 100% stamp duty reimbursement, land conversion waiver, capital subsidy (25% MSME / 10% large), and SGST reimbursement up to 100% for 15 years.
Coastal project incentives
| Zone | Focus | Key benefits |
|---|---|---|
| Visakhapatnam | Beach, MICE, port city tourism | Full APTP stack + DMO facilitation |
| Araku / Eastern Ghats | Eco-resorts, tribal tourism | MSME 25% capital + conversion waiver |
| Spiritual circuits | Tirupati, Amaravati pilgrimage | Stamp duty + SGST for hotel infrastructure |
| Water tourism | Cruise, houseboat, adventure | Adventure tourism category incentives |
Development considerations
- CRZ and coastal regulation zone clearances required for beachfront sites
- DMO alignment for circuit-integrated projects improves facilitation priority
- Single-window clearance through AP Tourism for investor tracking
- Industrial power tariff under industry status reduces operating costs
- Quality certification expenses reimbursable at 100%
